Troop 55 is a Boy Scout troop in Santa Rosa, California. We serve boys and girls age 11 to 18 (ten year olds who have completed the 5th grade are eligible to join), building character and leadership skills and having fun. Troop 55 is chartered by the Montgomery Village Lions Club.
The Troop meets weekly, year-round in Bennett Valley. In addition to weekly meetings, the Troop usually has one to two events per month, including day hikes, camping and backpacking trips. Specialized trips include snow camping and white-water rafting. Each summer, Troop 55 goes to a Boy Scout summer camp for one week.
The Troop also engages in various community service projects throughout the year, including restoration projects at various parks where we camp, providing assistance to our Charter Organization for projects they host during the year, and Eagle projects planned by our scouts striving for Scouting's highest rank.
